Our Story

Jason and Renee’ Shull own the Knotty Nymph. We were born and raised in Missoula MT. We married in 1996 and moved to Darby in 2005 to have our children attend a small school. Our three children attended and graduated from Darby. We enjoy the laid-back feel of our small town.

We have seen many businesses come and go in this location. The South Valley needs a nice place to go, and we strive to make our restaurant welcoming for everyone!

Our goal is to bring the soul of the old Montana roadhouse and the taste of a scratch kitchen to your table along with an affordable menu, friendly service, and a place to feel at home!

It’s true, we are all the sum of our parts. We are grateful for our staff and others who helped us along our way. Without them, the Knotty Nymph would not be here to serve you!
